Stephen P. ValentiAccountant

Stephen P. Valenti of Plainview recently received the Distinguished Service Award from the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants based on his efforts providing "outstanding service" to the profession through public service, contributions to publications and other activities. Valenti, a sole practitioner, is a clinical professor of accounting at New York University and a former vice president of the society, which he joined in 1983. He has also chaired six committees within the society and was selected by the United Nations to serve as a guest lecturer on accounting in 1998.
