Steven Skrynecki of Oyster Bay was recently named Law Enforcement/Security Liason of the Year at the 2012 Person the Year Awards Dinner of ASIS International, an organization previously known as the American Society for Industrial Security. Skrynecki is chief of the Nassau County Police Department and chief negotiator of the department's hostage/crisis negotiations team. He is also law enforcement adviser to the Anti-Defamation League's New York Chapter, a member of both the Nassau County Municipal Police Chiefs Association and New York Police Chief's Benevolent Association, and a charter member and lead percussionist of the NCPD's Pipes and Drums.
