Susan Ganz of Plainview has received the "Strong, Smart and Bold" Business Award from the nonprofit Girls Inc. of Long Island based on her "significant commitment" to her profession and her position as the 2010-11 president of the Financial Women's Association of New York. Ganz is a financial adviser at the Center for Wealth Preservation in Syosset. She has previously held management positions at Credit Suisse Securities (USA), Merrill Lynch, Ernst & Young and JP Morgan Chase.
