Suzanne B. Phillips of Northport recently received the Psychologist of the Year Award from the Suffolk County Psychological Association in recognition of her "outstanding work" in the field of psychology. Phillips is a licensed psychologist with a private practice in Northport and an adjunct full professor of clinical psychology at LIU Post in Brookville. She also writes a weekly blog for the website Psych Central and is co-chair of outreach and chair of trauma/response for the American Group Psychotherapy Association and the Suffolk County Psychological Association, respectively.
