Thomas A. Adams of Rockville Centre recently received the Judge Edward J. Hart Jr. Award from the Fraternal Order of Courts Officers for "consistently maintaining the high standards of the legal profession," the organization said. Adams is a New York State Supreme Court justice and an administrative judge for Nassau County, where he oversees nearly 100 justices and judges and more than 1,000 nonjudicial court employees assigned to six courthouses. He joined the court system in 1981 as a law secretary and before that was an assistant district attorney in Nassau.
