Thomas Buonaiuto of Miller Place was recently honored at the 18th annual Golf Outing of New Ground, a Hempstead-based nonprofit dedicated to eradicating homelessness on Long Island. Buonaiuto is the president, chief operating officer and director of Empire National Bank in Islandia, and before that he was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Union State Bank in Orangeburg. He is also past board president and a current board member of the Child Care Council of Suffolk, a trustee and treasurer of the Long Island Museum, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants.
