Thomas Conoscenti of Nesconset recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the nonprofit Italian Board of Guardians based on his "professional achievements and commitment to Italian-American welfare organizations." Conoscenti is president of Thomas Conoscenti & Associates, a full-service economic consulting firm in Nesconset, and chief economist of the Association for a Better Long Island and the Long Island Contractors' Association. He also has taught economics and management at New York University, LIU Post and the New York Institute of Technology.
