Vincent Interrante of Centerport was one of 50 teachers worldwide selected to participate this summer in the 2011 Microsoft U.S. Innovative Education Forum based on his efforts using technology in the classroom to "enhance positive learning and increase student engagement." Interrante is a math and science teacher at Mineola Middle School and underwent training to become a Microsoft Innovative Educator, one of only 250 to do so in the United States. He also recently made a presentation at the International Society for Technology in Education Conference in Philadelphia.
