Ann McDermott-Kave of Huntington received the Gilbert Tilles Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals' Long Island Chapter for her "dedication to support the less fortunate." She is director of the OSI Pharmaceuticals Foundation, which she helped establish in 2005, and has headed OSI's community relations and human resources divisions. She also hosts a child each summer through the Fresh Air Fund and was inducted into the Farmingdale Relay for Life's Hall of Fame in June.
