Winners: Daniel Murphy
Medical director
Daniel Murphy of Garden City has been named 2010 Physician of the Year by the New York State Society of Physician Assistants based on his "longtime support of the utilization of physician assistants in the delivery of health care services." Murphy is the director of emergency services and senior director of patient care operations at Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre. Before that, he was vice chairman and medical director of emergency medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn.
