David and Janet Hahn of Brookville have received the Pro Deo et Schola Award from Long Island Lutheran Middle & High School in Brookville based on her efforts to help make the school a "wonderful educational ministry." David has served as head of school at Long Island Lutheran since 1987 and also serves on the faculty of the Van Lunen Center: Executive Management in Christian Schools in Michigan. Janet has primarily taught science at the middle school since 2000 and also advises the school's Science Club and National Junior Honor Society.
