Doris Martinson

of Stony Brook has received the inaugural Wisdom in the Workplace Award from Huntington Hospital for her contributions "as a seasoned nursing professional who continues to share her knowledge and expertise with colleagues." Martinson, who started her career in 1957, began working nights at Huntington Hospital in 1980 while still attending school full-time during the day to become a registered nurse. She continues to work two overnights each week as a nursing supervisor.
