Professor
Dennis Sullivan of East Setauket received the Wolf Prize in mathematics and $100,000 for contributions to algebraic topology and conformal dynamics from the Wolf Foundation, a nonprofit that funds research in science, math and the arts. A math professor at Stony Brook University, he holds the Albert Einstein Chair in Science at the City University of New York's Graduate Center. He is former vice president of the American Mathematical Society and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
