Eileen Grubert
of Deer Park has been named a 2010 woman of distinction by Suffolk County's 17th Legislative District for contributions to the growth and progress of the community. Grubert is district manager of the Deer Park fire district and established a "blended" emergency medical service for the district in which EMTs drive fire ambulances during busy coverage hours. She also helped to initiate an advanced life support program at the Deer Park Fire Department.
