James Danowski of Wading River received the Theodore Roosevelt Award from Port Jefferson's Mather Memorial Hospital. He has served on Mather's board of directors since 2004 and has volunteered on various hospital committees. He is a past president of the Rocky Point Lions Club, a board member of Suffolk County National Bank, and a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
