Tammy Nuzzo-Morgan of Southampton has received the Community Service Award from the Long Island Writers' Guild for her efforts promoting writing on Long Island. Nuzzo-Morgan is Suffolk County's poet laureate, president and founder of the North Shore Sea Poetry Scene and editor of "Long Island Sounds: An Anthology

of Poetry from Maspeth to Montauk and Beyond.'' In 2006, her poetry book "Let Me Tell You Something" was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.
