Joseph Mills of Huntington has been named an Outstanding Fundraising Volunteer by the Association of Fundraising Professionals' Long Island Chapter for “taking a leadership role on Long Island and making philanthropy an integral part of his life,” the organization said. Mills, who works at West Hills Chiropractic Pain Center in Huntington, is a member of the Advisory Board of the nonprofit Kids Need More, which strives to enhance the lives of children with cancer and life-threatening illnesses. The Mills family is also credited with starting the nonprofit’s Party for Life, which supports organizations including the Bone Marrow Foundation and the American Cancer Society.
