Judy Bishop of Smithtown has been named 2010 woman of distinction by Suffolk County's 13th Legislative District for "her desire to help anyone in need." Bishop is executive assistant to the superintendent at Kings Park Central School District and a volunteer at the Kings Park Heritage Museum. In addition, she works with the American Cancer Society to organize an annual Relay for Life fundraiser and has coordinated local pasta dinners and blood drives to benefit various charities.
