Linda Nanos

of Bellmore has received the president's award from the Nassau County Bar Association for her work with the association's Bridge Over Language Divides (BOLD) initiative, which seeks to make the association more responsive to the county's non-English speaking community. Nanos is an attorney with a trilingual law practice in Hempstead devoted

to immigration matters. She is also an honorary board member of the Central American Refugee Center.
