Carvalho, who was recognized "giving back to the Mineola community," is the owner of Churrasquiera Bairrada Rodizio, a Portuguese restaurant in Mineola. He contributes to various events coordinated by the Mineola Fire Department and Mineola Chamber of Commerce, and other organizations.
