Marc Hamroff of Merrick received the Development Achievement Award from the American Heart Association for "outstanding dedication and service" to AHA. Managing partner at Garden City-based law firm Moritt Hock Hamroff & Horowitz, he heads its financial services practice and is also adjunct professor of law at Touro College in Central Islip and on the board of directors of the association's Long Island Division and the Long Island Council on Alcoholism & Drug Dependence.
