Dr. Richard Shlofmitz of Manhasset will be honored at the American Heart Association's upcoming 47th annual Long Island Ball: Take Heart! for his career achievements and community involvement. Shlofmitz is chairman of the Department of Cardiology at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, which he joined in 1987. He also is a member of the American Medical Association and American College of Cardiology and has made several TV appearances regarding healthy eating on WPIX/11.
