Sonia Codling of Westbury has been named Woman

of the Year by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Long Island chapter for her fundraising efforts and work to raise awareness about blood cancers. In April, Codling raised more than $12,000 for the society - more than any other female member - through a "Fashion a Cure" fashion show held at Silk, a nightclub in Hauppauge. She works as a senior benefits analyst for CA in Islandia and has been active in the society since the late 1990s.
