LI man shot, killed in Brooklyn
New York City police are questioning a woman in the shooting death of a Long Island man early Saturday morning in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.
The 44-year-old man from Wyandanch was sitting with a woman in a parked Dodge Caravan on Sterling Place about 2 a.m. when a person walked up and opened fire, police said. The assailant's bullets tore through the man's back and hit the woman in the leg, torso and arm.
Paramedics rushed both to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where the man was pronounced dead and the woman, 30, was in stable condition. Radio station 1010 WINS, citing a friend of the man, reported that the man was a cabdriver. Police have not identified the shooting victims.
Police described the woman being questioned as a person of interest. No arrests have been made.
