Overnight road closures will impact drivers in the Town of Islip, the Town of Oyster Bay and North Hills village over the next few weeks, according to the state Department of Transportation

The eastbound portion of Heckscher State Parkway will be closed between Exit 41A (Sagtikos State Parkway) and Exit 44 (State Route 27/Sunrise Highway) from Sunday through Thursday, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., for repaving, a news release said.

Motorists will be directed to Sunrise Highway, Exit 46, for reentry to Heckscher State Parkway, according to the release. The closure begins Sunday and is expected to last about four weeks.

In Nassau County, the closures will be on the westbound portion of the Long Island Expressway between Exit 40 (State Route 25/Jericho Turnpike) in Oyster Bay and Exit 36 (Searingtown Road) in North Hills, a DOT news release said.

The road will be closed weeknights 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. to facilitate pavement. The closure will start Monday night and last about three weeks. The westbound HOV lane will also be closed starting at 9 p.m.

Drivers will be redirected to the North Service Road.
