The Long Island Expressway in Plainview has been reopened after being partially shut down because of a two-car crash, authorities said.

The accident happened about 4:35 p.m. between eastbound Exit 48 Round Swamp Road and Exit 49 Route 110, Nassau police said.

One victim was taken to Nassau University Medical Center, but the extent of injuries was not immediately available, police said.

Only the right lane had been open as officers investigated, but police said all lanes were back in operation just after 5:20 p.m.

No other details were immediately available.
