Lincoln's birthday, Presidents Day closings

Today is Lincoln's Birthday. All Nassau and Suffolk county agencies and courts are closed.

Monday is Presidents Day. Federal, state and local government offices, schools, banks and stock exchanges will be closed, as well as post offices. There will be no regular collections or mail delivery except for Express Mail at automated postal centers across Long Island and the postal store at Roosevelt Field mall, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Long Island Rail Road and Long Island Bus will operate on a weekend schedule. New York City buses and trains will run on a Sunday-holiday schedule. There will be no garbage pickup.
