LIPA and PSEG Long Island Friday will hold two public hearings on their 2016 budget.

For 2016, the size of LIPA's budget will decline to its lowest level since 2009, to $3.369 billion, a 5 percent reduction from the $3.55 billion 2015 budget. Customer bills next year are expected to rise about 0.5 percent.

The first session on the budget is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Nassau County Legislature Building, Legislative Chamber, 1550 Franklin Ave., Mineola.

An afternoon session will run from 4 to 6 p.m. at the H. Lee Dennison Building, Media Room, 100 Veterans Memorial Hwy., Hauppauge.

Those who can't make the meeting can still submit comments via email to 2016budget@lipower.org.
