LIRR: On or close after some westbound delays during a.m. rush
The Long Island Rail Road said it was operating on or close to schedule Monday morning after delays.
Signal trouble had caused westbound delays averaging 10 to 15 minutes through Valley Stream and Jamaica, the railroad said in an alert to riders about 7:45 a.m.
It said in another alert about 9:30 a.m. that service was back to normal.
