Man killed on LIRR tracks near Syosset

A man was fatally struck by a westbound Long Island Rail Road train on Thursday morning, the MTA said.
The 27-year-old was struck at about 8:19 a.m. by the Port Jefferson Branch train west of the Syosset station at the Robbins Lane Crossing, the MTA said.
There is no criminality suspected, according to the MTA. No passengers or members of the train crew were injured.
The man was pronounced dead by Nassau County police at the scene.
Service on the Port Jefferson Branch was partially suspended between Hicksville and Huntington for a period during the rush hour.
