After earlier delays on all 10 of its Long Island Rail Road branches "due to weather related signal problems," trains leaving Penn Station were running on or close to schedule, according to an 8:09 p.m. service alert.
Storm-related problems had been resolved by 9:38 p.m. and there were no additional delays caused by the weather, an LIRR spokesman said Friday night.
There had been some train cancellations and earlier delays of up to 60 minutes, the LIRR reported.
Service between Jamaica Station and Atlantic Terminal, which had been suspended earlier in the day, was restored as of 4:20 p.m., a spokesman said.
The delays came as a line of thunderstorms moved through Long Island from west to east.
