Train service that was suspended in both directions between Ronkonkoma and Farmingdale Thursday afternoon has been restored, according to an alert from the Long Island Rail Road.
The service disruption resulted from a disabled tractor-trailer at about 12:45 p.m. at a crossing just east of the Deer Park station, according to an LIRR spokesman and the alert.
A tow truck was called, and the truck has since been moved.
