LIRR service restored after tree removed from tracks
Long Island Rail Road service has been restored between Mattituck and Greenport after a fallen tree east of Mattituck was removed from the tracks, the railroad said Thursday.
The railroad had tweeted at 5:16 a.m. that service was suspended due to a tree and wires leaning toward the tracks.
