LIRR: Ronkonkoma, Port Jefferson lines on or close after delays
The Long Island Rail Road’s Ronkonkoma and Port Jefferson branches were operating on or close to schedule Monday afternoon following a temporary suspension caused by earlier signal trouble at Hicksville.
At about 1 p.m. the Ronkonkoma Branch service was suspended between Hicksville and Ronkonkoma, and on the Port Jefferson Branch, service was suspended between Hicksville and Port Jefferson.
Service was restored by about 1:15 p.m. and there were subsequent delays for nearly two hours.
