LIE closed westbound at exit 49 in Melville
All westbound lanes of the Long Island Expressway are closed near Exit 49 in Melville after a pedestrian was hit by a truck, Suffolk police said.
Police said the pedestrian was hit about 10:30 p.m. on the LIE. No further details about the victim's condition or the circumstances of the crash were immediately available.
