All lines on the Long Island Rail Road are operating on new schedules through the holidays and a few have additional trains, a change that began on Monday.

The new time tables will run through March 6 and customers should check the MTA’s website for more information.

On the Long Beach branch, MTA officials will operate four additional trains from Long Beach between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. and from Penn Station between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. The trains will run on Saturdays and Sundays only through Jan. 3.

The Babylon branch will also see an additional train on weekends through Jan. 3. The train will depart from Penn Station at 1:13 a.m. with stops at Jamaica, Rockville Centre and all local Babylon stops.

Overnight service is being expanded on the Huntington Line, with one eastbound train being added for early morning travel. The train will depart Penn Station at 2:44 a.m. with stops at Jamaica, New Hyde Park and all local Huntington Line stops. That train will run through Jan. 3.

Finally, the LIRR’s Far Rockaway branch will include an afternoon train to accommodate those who need to be home before sundown. The Friday afternoon train will depart Atlantic Terminal at 3:05 p.m. and Penn Station at 3:07 p.m., with a 3:31 p.m. connection at Jamaica. The train will arrive in Far Rockaway at 4:05 p.m.
