Easter weekend is likely to be a bit cloudy on Long Island before rain arrives Sunday night, a meteorologist said.

Saturday’s weather is expected to be cloudy or partly sunny, according to Jay Engle of the National Weather Service office in Upton.

Temperatures “are going to be a lot closer to normal” — in the low 50s — after unusually warm weather Friday, he said.

Sunday is expected to be “partly sunny” or “mostly cloudy at times” with temperatures near 50 degrees, Engle said.

There’s a good chance of rain Sunday night into Monday, he added.

Rainy weather and temperatures in the low- to mid-50s are expected to last until Monday evening.

Tuesday and Wednesday are looking sunny, Engle said.
