Temperatures across Long Island are going to be chilly, but a few degrees warmer than normal this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday will see highs around 50 degrees with overnight lows in the mid 30s, said Jay Engle, a meteorologist for the service’s Upton office.

Sunday’s temperatures will be similar — a high in the lower 50s with lows in the mid 30s.

Engle said skies will also be clear through the weekend and into Monday, with a slight chance of rain Monday night.

That’s mostly typical for this time of year, Engle said, but some daytime temperatures may hit a few degrees above the average. Engle said the average high is in the upper 40s.
