Thursday works out to be sunny and slightly warmer than normal for this time of year across Long Island, the National Weather Service said.
Daily highs for Nassau and Suffolk counties will be in the low 40s, the service’s Upton office said.
Winds from the south diminish during the day to 5 to 8 mph.
News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman said temperatures for about the next seven days “look to be above normal” and could reach into the 50s next week.
Clouds increase Thursday night and overnight temperatures drop into the upper 20s, Hoffman said.
Friday morning could see rain or snow before 11 a.m. and mostly cloudy skies with some breaks of sunshine.
