FBI: Fugitive with Brentwood ties wanted in North Carolina slaying
A fugitive suspected of killing a man in North Carolina has ties to Brentwood, the FBI said Friday.
Luis Alberto Ordonez-Vega is wanted for his involvement in the shooting death of Noel Navarro Hernandez, 22, on June 6 in Charlotte, North Carolina, the bureau said.
Ordonez-Vega was charged with first-degree murder in North Carolina and a state warrant was issued for his arrest on July 1, the FBI said. The next day, a federal warrant was issued after he was charged with unlawful flight.
Ordonez-Vega, 35, has worked in construction and has lived in Florida, Utah and New York, the FBI said.
He is about 6 feet tall and weighs between 230 and 260 pounds. He has a scar on his nose and each cheek, and tattoos on both arms, the agency said.
An FBI spokeswoman said Ordonez-Vega, a native of Guatemala, has acquaintances in Brentwood but, citing the ongoing investigation, declined to elaborate on the nature of those relationships.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call local police using 911, the FBI said.
