Man sold drugs from Patchogue home near school, police say

A man who is accused of selling drugs from his Patchogue home, a few hundred feet from a grade school, was arrested Friday after an undercover sting, Suffolk County police said.
Tristan Corwin, 19, sold undercover detectives the powerful and addictive painkiller oxycodone four times from his Holbrook Street home, which is less than 250 feet from the Canaan Elementary School, police said in a news release.
Armed with a search warrant, detectives from the narcotics squad and Fifth Precinct special operations team found $750 in cash at his home, an imitation pistol, scales, drug paraphernalia, heat sealer, cellphones, 20 grams of marijuana and 30 amphetamine and dextroamphetamine pills, which the DEA categorizes as Schedule II drugs, the second most dangerous category of drugs due to their addictive potential, police said.
Corwin was expected to be arraigned Saturday on eight felony counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, including selling them within 1,000 feet of a school, misdemeanor seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Police said they set up the sting in response to many complaints of drug dealing at the house and tips to the department’s new narcotics hotline, 631-852-NARC.
