Elko Bourdier, the 12-year-old boy from Valley Stream for whom Nassau County police issued a Silver Alert on Tuesday, has been located and is in good condition, police said.

He was last seen Monday at PS K140, an elementary school on Rockaway Avenue in Brooklyn, and was thought to be headed toward his mother's home in Brooklyn, police said.

The Silver Alert program is designed to inform local media, hospitals and law enforcement agencies when a senior citizen or individual suffering from mental or cognitive disorders is missing.Police did not say where Bourdier was found.
