Moderate rip current risk Friday for Long Island ocean beaches
There's a moderate risk for rip currents at Long Island's Atlantic beaches, the National Weather Service said Friday.
Water temperatures range from 68 degrees at Montauk to 69 at Kings Point and 73 at Bergen Point.
For boaters, light winds Friday from the south and southwest are expected to remain at 5 knots or less with ocean wave heights at 2 to 3 feet.
