Tickets for a new multistate lottery that offers a top prize of $25 million and an interactive twist -- a chance to appear on a TV game show -- go on sale Monday, the New York Lottery said.

The first drawing for Monopoly Millionaires' Club is Friday. Tickets are $5 each, and players must match six numbers to win the jackpot.

Starting in February, a television show of the same name will air in syndication and on the Game Show Network. Contestants will be selected exclusively from lottery players who register their tickets online, the lottery said.

The game show will be held in Las Vegas, hosted by Billy Gardell, co-star of the CBS sitcom "Mike & Molly."

Thousands of players can win a five-day, four-night trip for two to Las Vegas to be a part of the show's audience; some audience members also will be selected at random to compete on the show.

The game's weekly jackpot opens at $15 million and will grow to a maximum of $25 million in subsequent drawings. In addition to the jackpot, a series of $1 million prizes will be awarded. The number of $1 million winners is based on the size of the jackpot.

Other than New York, states participating in the game include Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee and Texas. Washington, D.C., also will sell tickets.
