Montauk Highway reopens after crash in East Hampton, officials say
A multiple-vehicle accident closed Montauk Highway for several hours Wednesday in East Hampton, officials said.
East Hampton Town police said the crash occurred about 9 a.m. and involved three vehicles. Police said two people were reported injured in the crash and that both had been taken to a hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Montauk Highway was closed at Spring Close Highway at 9:23 a.m., according to the state Department of Transportation website, informny.com. Police said the road also was closed at Skimhampton Road. The road has since reopened.
