New weekly and monthly fares kick in later, on Saturday and April 1, respectively.
The cost of subway and bus rides in New York City is also increasing.
Single-ride fares will rise to $2.75 from $2.50.
Monthly unlimited cards will increase to $116.50, up $4.50. Weekly passes will increase by $1 to $31.
