Damian and Romeo — two dogs who were found emaciated at a North Massapequa home earlier this month — have been put up for adoption through the Nassau County SPCA.

The dogs were owned by a father and son who lived in the home and are charged with failure to provide proper sustenance. SPCA investigators found the dogs dehydrated with their ribs, spine and hips showing.

They have since had veterinary care.

Anyone interested in adopting the dogs is asked to call the SPCA at 516-843-7722 or email adopt@ncspca.us.
