Hamptons jogger, 29, struck and killed by car, was a rising Manhattan real estate associate

A Manhattan woman killed while jogging last week in Water Mill was a rising New York City real estate associate.

Southampton Town police said Stefanie Rock, 29, was running north on Deerfield Road about 8:30 a.m. on Friday, past houses and through a remote stretch of farm country, when she was hit by a sedan heading south on the road. Rock was pronounced dead at the scene.

Rock’s family could not be reached for comment Monday.

The driver, who was not identified, remained at the scene and worked with police, before being transported to Southampton Hospital, police said. They did not say if criminality was suspected in the crash.

Rock was an associate, brokerage, for commercial real estate broker Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated. She was listed on the company’s website as a representative for tenants and focusing on office space leasing.

The company did not have anyone available for comment Monday.

Her LinkedIn page said she had been with the company for more than two years.

Rock graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in human and organizational development, focusing on leadership and corporate strategy, according to her profile.

She was a New York licensed real estate salesperson who worked for various firms for the past eight years, according to her resume.

She also worked as a manager of enterprise sales for Axiom Law and a sales director at RGP, a consulting firm, recruiting talent and digital staffing for accounting and finance, according to her LinkedIn.
