Rick Buckley, the chairman and president of Buckley Broadcasting, the parent company of WOR Radio, has died.

WOR News Director Joe Bartlett said Buckley died Sunday in Quogue where he had a summer home, after suffering a brain embolism the day before. Bartlett says no exact birthdate is available, but Buckley was believed to be in his late 70s.

In 1972, Buckley took over for his father as the head of the company, which now includes some 20 radio stations and offers syndicated programming. -- AP
