One pedestrian was struck and killed and two others seriously injured in a 12-hour period on Long Island roadways Monday, officials said.

Stoll remained at the scene, police said, and there were no charges brought against him.

A few hours later, Christopher Wilson, 16, of West Islip, a student at West Islip High School, was struck by a car at Montauk Highway and Barberry Road, police said.

Wilson was struck by a 1996 Buick Century driven by Dorothy Upton, 84, of Deer Park, at about 7 a.m. police said.

He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where police said he was in critical condition.

The third pedestrian, whose name was not released, was hospitalized with brain trauma and was in stable condition, Nassau police said. He was hit by a car at 12:55 p.m. at Long Beach Road and Davison Avenue in Oceanside.

Witnesses told officers the 50-year-old man was running across the street against the light, waving his arms, apparently trying to flag down a bus, police said.
